Do you want to take your climbing skills to the next level? Our Multi-Pitch Climbing Course is designed for climbers with experience in sport routes who want to get started in multi-pitch climbing with safety and autonomy. You will learn all the essential techniques to climb equipped walls, manage belays, belay your partners, and rappel safely.
Course objectives:
- Climb multi-pitch routes independently and safely.
- Set up and manage equipped and triangulated belay stations.
- Manage rappelling descents, including chained and self-belayed rappels.
- Apply safety and communication protocols within the rope team.
- Become familiar with basic traditional and aid climbing techniques.
- Read and interpret multi-pitch route topos and descriptions.
Course contents:
- Personal and group equipment.
- Essential knots and maneuvers for multi-pitch climbing.
- Belaying the leader and seconds using double ropes.
- Fast and safe belay station setup.
- Advanced progression and rappelling techniques.
- Risk management and logistics on multi-pitch routes.
- Reading and interpreting route descriptions and topos.
Itinerary:
- Day 1: Practical workshop on low-angle rock, review of equipment, knots, and belay stations.
- Day 2: Application on multi-pitch routes, practice placing protection, rope team management, and safe descent.
