What to know…

This course is designed for those who want to improve their safety with ropes and self-rescue techniques in ravines and be able to deal with any problem they encounter.
Previously, we will send the participants a manual with basic contents so that they can start practicing at home, familiarizing themselves with the material and techniques that will be worked on.
The course consists of a two-day training in the Vall de Ribes, where you will learn:
• Introduction to safety elements: you will learn about the different types of ropes, carabiners and other specific materials that the guides carry and can be of help.
• Basic and group progress: we will work on progression techniques both individually and in groups, including the management of abseils, ziplines.
• Progress with ropes: you will learn to progress with ropes, both ascent and descent.
• Critical points and self-rescue: we’ll explore potential hazards and introduce you to basic self-rescue maneuvers.
