What to know…

This 2-day course is designed for those who want to gain autonomy and safety in canyoning, as well as for those who already practice the activity but want to become more efficient and secure.

Course Itinerary:

Day 1: Practice at Barranc de la Corba (Bruguera, Ripollès)
Day 2: Practice at Barranc del Forat Negre (Vallcebre, Berguedà)

The course combines theoretical and practical training in real canyons, allowing you to apply techniques immediately in a controlled environment. You will learn to:

  • Interpret and assess a canyon before descending.

  • Plan the activity considering weather, hydrology, and terrain conditions.

  • Set up and descend rappels safely.

  • Progress with and without ropes in different sections.

  • Manage rope bridges, ziplines, and other vertical elements.

  • Secure and assist a partner, including basic self-rescue techniques.

  • Use canyoning-specific equipment correctly.

  • Apply safety protocols and make decisions in unexpected situations.

Course Objectives:

  • Be able to descend medium-level canyons safely and autonomously.

  • Improve your rope and non-rope progression techniques.

  • Acquire skills to handle emergencies and minor incidents.

  • Combine the practical and recreational aspects of the activity with technical learning.
